Dr. Tahereh "Tara" Jamshidi, Rheumatologist
Tahereh “Tara” Jamshidi, M.D., earned her degree in Internal Medicine from the University of Tennessee in Nashville, TN before completing a fellowship in Rheumatology at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She is a board-certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
Dr. Jamshidi is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, and a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and Rheumatism Society of the District of Columbia. In 2013, Dr. Jamshidi was the recipient of the DC Rheumatism Society Fellows Forum Award.
Dr. Jamshidi’s clinical specialties include osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, gout, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), and other autoimmune conditions. She is particularly interested in collaboration with the Providence multidisciplinary team of health care specialists to improve the quality of life for you, and to relieve pain and treat your condition with the most advanced treatments available.
For the convenience of her patients, Dr. Jamshidi is fluent in both English and Farsi.
