- Our Services
Providence Hospital understands the health concerns and conditions that accompany aging. At Providence, older adults will find a full range of services, from senior wellness centers to primary care centers, specifically designed to promote and maintain their health, independence and quality of life.
Every nurse who joins the Providence team undergoes Age Specific Training. This program educates our nurses on the unique communication skills required for older adults with certain needs, such as those with memory loss. Providence nurses are trained to work with older adults who need extra care, and are able to fully and compassionately communicate with older patients. Nurses are also knowledgeable about the various health conditions that affect older adults and can differentiate what symptoms are attributed to normal aging or are disease related.
Common health conditions that are frequently diagnosed among older patients are Diabetes, Heart Disease, Cancer, Arthritis, and Depression. Each of these conditions can be avoided or managed with the support of experienced team members at Providence who focus on early detection and prevention as well as treatment.
Each of our older adult services provides focused care that can improve your quality of life.
