Dr. Jamshidi earned her degree in medicine from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Tennessee Baptist Hospital in Nashville, TN. Dr. Jamshidi also completed a fellowship in rheumatology at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She is a board certified internal medicine physician and board certified rheumatologist, practicing exclusively in rheumatology. Dr. Jamshidi is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and Rheumatism Society of the District of Columbia.
She is fluent in both English and Farsi, for the convenience of her patients. Dr. Jamshidi demonstrates her expertise in diagnosis, treatment, and medical management of patients with arthritis and other rheumatic diseases that may affect the joints, bones, muscles, and other tissues. She partners with her patients and collaborates with their multidisciplinary team of health care providers to develop customized management plans to improve their function and quality of life. Her areas of interest include osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, gout, SLE, and other autoimmune conditions. In 2013, Dr. Jamshidi was the recipient of the DC Rheumatism Society Fellows Forum Award.
