Lean to Wellness for Weight Loss
The Wellness Institute offers a weight loss class in a support group setting that allows people interested in losing weight to develop strategies for long-term weight loss. Taught by health educators, nutritionists and counselors, this class is a great opportunity to increase your health knowledge and implement health behaviors to improve overall health and wellness. There is a cost with this program.

The Wellness Institute and the American Lung Association have partnered to offered free tobacco cessation classes at Providence Hospital . These classes provide free nicotine withdrawal products, workbooks, quit kits and a social support group to help stop this difficult and unhealthy habit. There is no cost to participate in this program.

Athletic High School Physicals
To support high school athletics, the Wellness Institute offers athletic physicals for one day every July. This event takes place on a Saturday and includes an in-depth examination from hospital staff, and all forms are reviewed and approved by a Providence physician. There is a fee for this program.

The breast cancer support group provides an environment where women living with breast cancer come together to share information and educate and encourage each other. Meetings are held once a month, and there is no cost to participate.

The health promotion team provides flu clinics off site for a variety of organizations that book clinics for their employees or community members. Many churches, businesses and schools take advantage of the opportunity to set up a clinic at their location at a time that works best for their schedule. There is a fee for this service.

The health promotion team provides a variety of screening services off site to a variety of organizations. This is a convenient way to learn more about your personal health status and improve your overall health and wellness.
