Fort Lincoln Family Medicine Center
Fort Lincoln Family Medicine Center was established in 1977 through an agreement between Providence Hospital and Georgetown University School of Medicine. The affiliation with Providence Hospital and Georgetown University allows us to be at the cutting edge of technology and health information. The family physician is usually the primary physician, and the initial provider, for most patients. As a result, a bond is usually developed between the two which fosters continuous care, monitoring, and education for the patient and their families. This requires regular appointments, immunizations, and screening tests, as well as providing information on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Fort Lincoln Family Medicine Center has been the training site for Georgetown University residents since 1978. These physicians are provided with the experience and skills necessary for them to provide the highest possible standard of family medical care. This care is comprehensive, continuous, and humanistic, and it is provided within the community of the patients we serve.
Fort Lincoln Family Medicine Center consists of a group of family practice physicians, and other healthcare professionals, who are dedicated to providing high quality, comprehensive, and continuous health care services to all the families in the community in which it serves. Family medicine is a medical specialty that is capable of meeting the overall, total healthcare needs of individuals and their families; therefore, we have the capability to provide healthcare services to all members of the family, to include pediatric and geriatric care.
At Fort Lincoln , the emphasis of the care that is provided by our team of specialists is on personalized care with a focus on preventive medicine - helping the family care for themselves and stay well. Our patient's sustained health is of the utmost importance, and our team of specialists, better known as "the family doctors" pride themselves in familiarizing themselves with their patients and their needs. These specialists also work closely with other specialists, in order to further ensure that total healthcare access is available to meet the continued needs of their patient population.
