Welcome to Carroll Manor !

Thank you for your interest in Carroll Manor. I hope you will find the information we have placed here useful to you, your family and friends.

Our Board of Directors, CEO and executive management team are extremely pleased to be able to offer the quality of medical, nursing and rehabilitation care that has made Carroll Manor an outstanding facility in the DC area since we opened in 1996. Many of our directors, managers and supervisors have been with us since we opened, a fine testimony to their commitment and loyalty to the mission of Providence Hospital in general and to the care of the community's elderly citizens in particular.

As a hospital-based nursing home, we are able to offer you access to a continuum of medical, nursing and rehabilitation services to help you or your family member. Whether you are looking for a short-term stay to recover from surgery or need long-term care to function better and enjoy your life, our dedicated physicians, nurses and therapists are prepared to answer your questions and serve you. We invite you to visit our facility to see the beautiful environment and highly motivated associates that make Carroll Manor an exceptional place to be.

While we are a large facility of 250 Medicare/Medicaid certified beds, we make sure you feel as though this is your home when you are here. We do this because we believe it is your home. We support your ability to function and enjoy the entertainment, outings, games, physical activities, parties, cookouts and fishing trips the Resident Council plans on a monthly basis.

We seek to make the home feel normal and natural to you. This may mean plants and pets, classical music and jazz, movies and popcorn, breakfast in bed or daily Mass and worship. We look to you to tell us what feels right so we can make you comfortable. We respect your right to choose your physician and choose to receive or refuse medical treatment. We encourage you to prepare advanced directives with your physician so that we assist you at the end of your life according to your wishes. We welcome your family, friends and pastor or deacon because people who visit you are regarded as part of our Carroll Manor community.

Selecting nursing home care is a very important activity. It is important that you are very comfortable with your choice. We are here when you need us and look forward to meeting your nursing home care needs.

Wishing you good health and peace.

Sincerely,
Eileen Mulaney, NHA
